Movie Night Charcuterie Board

Every once in a while the universe has a way of saying it might be time to slow down. Some times it is a gentle nudge and other times it is a full on slap you in the face kinda way. When you have that time, movies seem to be the comfort for many. And now with so many movies streaming online, you can watch them in the comfort of your own home. But maybe you still want the movie theatre snacks. How about a Movie Night Charcuterie Board. Like a wine and cheese board (although that would still be top on my list), but with movie snacks instead.

Charcuterie boards are made up of a variety of different foods, all on one plate or board. Charcuterie is the art of prepping and assembling cured meats. The word originates from France and is translated to Pork Butcher Shop. But today we use the word loosely and we can assemble anything on a board or plate to eat and make it a charcuterie.

Picking a movie

So it’s movie night in your house, lets pick a movie for the whole family. There are so many classics. And if you have teens in the house, how about exposing them to the classic movies of the 80’s.

  • Pretty in Pink
  • Breakfast Club
  • St. Elmos Fire
  • Top Gun
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High
  • Sixteen Candles
  • Risky Business
  • Footloose

I could go on and on, but you get the point. These are the movies that will never lose their glow and we could watch them over and over.

Snacks

Oh the snacks, for some that is the real reason they go to the movies. Popcorn, nachos, chips, candy, licorice. What a smorgasbord!! So why not have that at home too. A movie night charcuterie board. Use your imagination and really anything goes.

Another fun treat to add the movie night charcuterie board may be these S’mores Squares because why not. Who doesn’t like s’mores..:)

So there you go a little movie night inspo. Grab your glass of wine (for mom) and a sparkling water for the kids and hunker down for a night or two in the house.

Happy Movie Night!!
